Scottish Financial Enterprise (SFE) is the representative body for Scotland's financial services industry. SFE's member companies range in size from global organisations headquartered in Scotland to small, specialist support companies. They include banks and building societies; general insurance, life assurance and pensions; investment management; asset servicing; corporate finance and broking services; professional advisors and business services.
This diversity reflects Scotland's position as a leading European financial centre. The industry makes a significant contribution to the Scottish economy, accounting for up to one in every 10 jobs in Scotland.

SFE is a company limited by guarantee. Our agenda is determined by our member companies and overseen by our board of directors. Each of the main sectors of the financial services industry in Scotland is represented on the SFE board.

SFE works closely with the main public sector organisations and other bodies that have an interest in the financial services industry. In Scotland we work with the Scottish Government and the other partners involved in delivering the Strategy for the Financial Services Industry in Scotland, as a member of the Scottish Government's Financial Services Advisory Board and Financial Services Implementation Group.
