A New Way to Build a Bank - Briefing with Sopra Steria
Time: 08:30 arrival with a 09:00 start, and 10:30 finish
Venue: Pinsent Masons, Princes Exchange, 1 Earl Grey Street, Edinburgh, EH3 9AQ
SFE is delighted to invite you to a breakfast briefing with Sopra Steria focusing on the challenges and opportunities faced by organisations of all shapes and sizes as they position themselves for a data-driven future where increasingly it is the customer who dictates the pace.
The banking industry is experiencing revolutionary upheaval. Digital advancements mean that an agile, customer centric, highly secure banking platform can compete with the established high street banks from the start.
But it’s not just challenger banks and new entrants taking advantage of digital innovation. Many established banks have to work with legacy systems, which slow them down and dictate how they work. Today’s demanding customers expect intuitive, online, seamless banking 24/7.
For established firms, the challenge is to incorporate FinTech innovations into scalable, flexible and secure solutions that adapt to changing needs.
For new entrants, the challenge is to quickly, cost effectively and securely set up and operate key banking functions at the ‘right scale'.
The session will be led by Tim Difford, Strategy & Innovation Director – Financial Services and Lynn Millar, Director, Strategic Programmes – Financial Services of Sopra Steria.
Tim draws upon experience in senior leadership roles throughout the public and private sectors as a Digital Strategist and Transformation Leader, and has led many teams at the forefront of successful new product, channel and service developments. Tim drives engagement with new entrants and traditional players looking to exploit digital technologies including Data & Analytics, AI, Robotics and Blockchain to boost customer engagement whilst industrialising in a ever-more regulated environment.
Lynn’s particular focus is on Innovative Solutions for New Entrant Banks. She has over 34 years’ experience in the corporate and retail banking arena. She has expertise in all aspects of the value chain, from strategy definition, solution selection through to implementation, and team management.
