A re-evaluation: the impact of coronavirus on the UK lending market

Date: Wednesday 30 June

Time: 2pm-3pm

Join RSM on Wednesday 30 June for a live session about the impact of coronavirus on the lending market

As the impact of the coronavirus pandemic has affected the trading performance and capital structure of UK companies, lenders are assessing their response to the challenging conditions they find themselves in.

In July 2020, RSM conducted a survey of 182 lending professionals across high street clearing banks, challenger banks, asset-based lenders and private debt funds. The results showed that lenders were broadly supportive of their existing clients, were now ready to lend new funds to support M&A and other event-driven transactions, but not without caution as businesses responded to the economic damage caused by the pandemic.

Amidst growing optimism that the economy is navigating its way back to a degree of normality, RSM assesses the lending appetite of the UK market and how this compares against the peak of the pandemic.
