Business Fours teeing off with events across the country

Scotland’s national business golf tournament returns this Spring season with five qualifying events across the country.

Golf lovers from companies around Scotland can take part in the second ever Business Fours golf event and the tournament is now open for entries.

Catering for all levels of golfing abilities and run by Business Fives – the popular five-a-side football tournament –in partnership with Scottish Financial Enterprise Business Fours tees off.

The qualifying events start in Glasgow, the first of 5 industry events taking place ahead of the national final in St Andrews.   The date for Glasgow professionals is Tuesday 17th April on the Championship course at Marhall and you can find additional info on the Glasgow Professionals heat here

The week after Edinburgh professionals will meet on Tuesday 24th April on the Championship course at Dalmahoy and you can find additional info on the Edinburgh Professionals heat here.  .

Companies will be playing for their own chosen charity with the eventual winners collecting Business Fours ten per cent donation for their chosen charity, a model that has proven very successful with Business Fives having raised over £40,000 for charities across Scotland since launching less than 2 years ago.

Business Fours events have the distinct aim of bringing companies across Scotland closer together with fourballs being split up to increase networking opportunities.  This was summed up perfectly by a player from last year’s event, Scott Hunter, solicitor from Turcan Connell who said "Good mix of business contacts; good golf course; good food; really good format that gets you speaking with new contacts in a relaxed setting".

Tournament Founder, John McClarey said “We are looking forward to building on the success of our 2017 events and the aim is to double the £4,660 raised for charity last year.

The feedback from the events was fantastic and we hope to continue to enable our clients to make lasting relationships through our golf events.  We’re delighted to be taking in 2 new cities for Business Fours and are very much looking forward to hosting our events alongside Scottish Financial Enterprise again”
