This briefing will explain how Sopra Steria are working with the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) to create a leading-edge, cloud-based, regulatory platform. Sopra Steria will discuss the journey of how a unique blend of innovative technologies and partners are bringing this large-scale, ‘state-of-the-art’ solution together and the future implications not only for the regulator, but all regulated firms.
 
The session will be led by Tim Difford, Digital Transformation & Innovation Leader and Andrew Coakley, Solution and Enterprise Architect within Sopra Steria.
 
Tim leads strategy and innovation for Sopra Steria's Financial Services sector.  Tim is engaged with the industry looking for opportunities to exploit the value of digital technologies such as Data & Analytics, AI, Robotics and Blockchain, to boost customer engagement whilst industrialising in an ever-more regulated environment. As part of his role he also leads Sopra Steria's 'Aurora' horizon scanning programme; identifying the tech trends which will impact organisations in the next 3-5 year period.
 
Andrew has over 20 years of experience in managing and delivering complex commercial and technical programmes of work. Andrew is an integral part of the senior Sopra Steria team who envisaged the transformational new digital regulatory market data processing platform for the FCA, which ensures investment firms’ trading reporting activity remains compliant.
