Scottish Enterprise are delighted to host the Financial Conduct Authority and would like to invite you to participate in a discussion on 9 June in Edinburgh on the current landscape of Scottish FinTech. The session will also include an update on the Scottish Financial Enterprise FinTech Strategy and the Bank of England’s role in supporting FinTech in Scotland.

FCA regulatory surgeries

The FCA’s Innovation Hub will also be holding regulatory surgeries on 9 June at Scottish Enterprise, Apex House, 99 Haymarket Terrace, Edinburgh EH12 5HD, following the event.

At these technical surgeries firms can get ask their regulatory questions. The FCA’s surgeries will offer an opportunity to have a discussion about any specific regulatory issues facing your business. The FCA wishes to make it easier for innovative firms to get their ideas to market by providing informal steers.

You will be meeting with experts from the FCA’s Innovation Hub, who will aim to answer your questions and discuss their views with you. The FCA are happy to give views on individual issues affecting your firm but may choose to take these away for consideration in certain circumstances.

You will need to complete a questionnaire if applying for a surgery slot, including the topics you would like to discuss.

Who should attend?

The surgeries are open to any firm looking to innovate in the financial services sector. Please only book one surgery slot for your firm. A maximum of three people from your firm can attend the session.

  • In what ways is your offering innovative?
  • Could you provide a sample question you would like to ask?
