New Data Protection Law: How will it affect the Evolution of Financial Services? - SFE Breakfast Briefing
Time: 08:30 arrival, with a 09:00 start and a 10:00 finish
Venue: HBJ Gateley, Exchange Tower, 19 Canning Street, Edinburgh, EH3 8EH
SFE is delighted to invite you to a breakfast briefing with HBJ Gateley looking at the impact the new General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) will have on financial services when it comes into force in May 2018. The panel of expert speakers will discuss these game-changing new privacy challenges in the context of evolving financial services technology, and explore strategies for overcoming them.
Caroline Masters of Lloyds Banking Group is leading on GDPR compliance from the general insurance and legal risk side, and will speak at the session on some of the challenges the GDPR presents and the best strategy for overcoming them.
Helena Brown, Partner and Head of HBJ Gateley’s date protection team, will draw from her own experiences to discuss more generally the key points coming out of the GDPR directly affecting financial services.
Joining the panel we will also have a perspective from the IT sector, who will offer their perspective from a service provider’s point of view. The final member of the panel will be confirmed closer to the event.
This event is kindly hosted by HBJ Gateley. This is a private event for SFE Members only, however, please pass on to any interested colleagues within your organisation.
