SFE Breakfast Briefing with KPMG on Blockchain

Time:  08:30 arrival, with a 09:00 start and a 10:00 finish

Venue: KPMG, Saltire Court, 20 Castle Terrace, Edinburgh, EH1 2EG

SFE is delighted to invite you to a breakfast briefing with KPMG on blockchain. The session will provide an introduction to the technology, demystify the hype and leave you with an understanding of its potential applications within your company.

Blockchain is a well discussed but not widely understood technology. During 2015, almost $0.5 billion was invested in blockchain start-ups and the media coverage around it is ever increasing. We are only at the beginning of its life but it is clear that the impact of blockchain will reach far and wide. Now is the time to understand the core concepts so that we can begin shaping the future.

The session will be led by Chris Mills, KPMG’s UK lead for blockchain, and supported by Murdo Connochie, a Technology & Digital Consultant within the KPMG blockchain team.

Chris has worked across Investment Management and the wider Financial Services community throughout his career, supporting clients in challenges such as large scale change, risk & regulation compliance and technological innovation. Murdo has worked with a variety of Financial Services companies, assisting in their risk compliance and reimagining their digital experiences.

This event is kindly hosted by KPMG.

This is a private event for SFE Members only, however, please pass on to any interested colleagues within your organisation.

This event is now oversubscribed, if you would like to be added to the waiting list please email events@sfe.org.uk.
