SFE & Burness Paull Webinar | What’s next for governance?
Date: Monday 7th December
Time: 12:15pm – 1:15pm
SFE are delighted to invite you to an event with Burness Paull LLP and Savendie to discuss their recent corporate governance thought leadership project titled ‘Boards of the Future: What’s next for governance?’
Gathering thoughts and experiences from chairs, exec and non-exec directors and company secretaries of both listed and non-listed companies, Burness Paull and Savendie have addressed a number of the challenges facing them such as: increasing workload; managing regulation and reporting requirements; ensuring diversity; monitoring culture; balancing the needs of stakeholders and employees; and embracing technology.
The project began just before lockdown and since then, they have explored how boards have dealt with Covid-19 and new ways of working, and have produced this paper looking at the future of boards and what they expect directors will need to address to thrive.
The paper also takes a look at the financial sector, in particular the FCA’s Senior Managers & Certification Regime which is now in force for around 60,000 regulated FS businesses in the UK, imposing greater individual accountability on boards than ever before.
The report is not yet published online, however it will be shared with registered attendees prior to the event.
