SFE Climate Series: Innovating Towards More Sustainable Living
Date: Thursday 29 April
Join us for another event in our Climate Series leading up to COP26 with PA Consulting to discuss innovating towards more sustainable living.
In this session, PA Consulting sustainability experts will share an ambitious vision of how banks can help remove the barriers for home-owners to make more sustainable choices. For example:
- Offering long-term financing for deep retrofit and 'smarter' homes tied to buildings, so it can be passported to new owners.
- Finance the 'as a service' model for appliances and products enabling more affordable and sustainable design and life-time use.
- Create a platform that makes it easy for home-owners to find and transact with trusted retrofit providers, utilities and other home consumer appliance products and services.
The SFE Climate Series will view climate and environmental challenges from several lenses, such as responsible investment, corporate governance and consumer behaviour. We're delighted to be partnering with PA Consuting for our next event with the following speakers:
Mark Lancelott, Sustainability Expert
Mark leads PA’s sustainability and circular economy proposition globally, and works with start-ups, corporates, NGOs, and Cities to help businesses find better ways of doing business. He has a particular focus on helping financial services organisations become more sustainable by embracing the growth opportunity, and managing sustainability risk.
He brings 15 years industry and consulting experience across the FS industry, and broader cross-sector sustainability experience giving him deep insight into the emerging sustainability needs of FS customers. He manages PA’s engagement with both the Ellen MacArthur Foundation’s CE100 and participation in the UN Global Compact, including being a specialist technical advisor, and a member of the advisory board of the UK Network.
A business designer by trade, he helps organisations to redesign their business models and transform to new operating models. He was previously an associate lecturer at Ashridge Management School, and is co-author of the Operating Model Canvas book.
