Venue:  Grant Thornton, 7 Exchange Crescent, Conference Square, Edinburgh, EH3 8AN

Scottish Financial Enterprise has the pleasure of inviting you to attend a Breakfast Briefing with Experian looking at 5 ways to deliver value through data in financial services.

Today’s world runs on data. We all leave footprints in the digital world, from the profiles we build of ourselves online, to the countless internet searches we conduct each week, to the information we share via a myriad of apps downloaded on a multitude of devices. The proliferation of new technologies has meant that those footprints – the information and data generated through our digital actions – are seen, recorded and analysed, not only by the service providers but often by their partners as well. Data is everywhere. The quality, management and understanding of that data is crucial for both businesses and society. It allows businesses to develop better products and services, and it is also the key to building better relationships with consumers.

This session will examine:

  • Consumers attitudes and understanding of data sharing.
  • The value exchange required in sharing financial data.
  • How using data better can dramatically improve your customer journeys and facilitate innovation.

Speaking at the event will be:

Derek Garriock, Head of Strategic Design & Innovation, Experian

Derek leads Strategy, Design and Innovation across Financial Services for Experian based in Edinburgh covering UK & Ireland and EMEA. He works extensively with large Global Banks,  Mortgage Lenders, Challenger Banks, Asset Managers, and Life & Pension providers, alongside a growing number of FinTechs using data, analytics and advanced decisioning to better serve customers and deliver value to businesses.
