Date: Thursday 27 May
Time: 11am – 12pm
Join SFE Young Professionals in partnership with Morgan Stanley on the 27th May for a fireside chat with British track and field athlete Eilidh Doyle. Eilidh will be chatting to us about the pressures to succeed, Imposter Syndrome, mental wellness, and much more. There will also be a chance for audience members to put their own questions to Eilidh.
This event is part of the SFE Young Professionals Mental Health Campaign, which includes our first ever Mental Health Survey in partnership with SAMH and See Me. It is anonymous, takes ten minutes to complete and you can choose to enter a prize draw to win one of five £50 Amazon vouchers.
Eilidh Doyle is Scotland’s most decorated track and field athlete of all time after achieving success in Olympic, World, European and Commonwealth competition. Specialising in the 400m hurdles and the 4 x 400m relay, she holds the Scottish record for the 400m hurdles and the indoor 400m.
Eilidh has represented Team GB at both the 2012 and 2016 Olympic games. In 2014 Eilidh became the 400m hurdle European Champion, the first British woman to win the title in 20 years. In 2019 Eilidh announced she would miss the rest of the season to have her first child, returning to athletics in 2020 when the Covid Pandemic began.
Eilidh was born in Perth and graduated from Edinburgh University with a degree in Physical Education before taking up athletics full time.
