WIBF Edinburgh: Leading from Behind
Date: Monday 26th June 2018
Time: 5:30pm - 8:00pm
Venue: Moody’s Analytics, 7 Exchange Crescent, Conference Square, Edinburgh EH3 8RD
In the fast pace world of business today the role of the business professional often extends far beyond the profile norm.
Whether initiating or chairing meetings or organising conferences the modern professional assumes more responsibility than ever before. But where do we draw the line between assisting, managing – and leading? More importantly how do we invite recognition, reward and remuneration for the value we are bringing to the company?
Catherine Arden’s ‘Leading from Behind’ workshop explores and clarify these points while addressing how, in a corporate world of predominantly, alpha male leadership style, you might be more comfortable, equally, steadily and authentically - leading from behind!
CATHERINE ARDEN is a theatre director, trainer and speaker.
She draws from over 30 years’ experience in the arts, creative media and business arena and the Royal Navy to deliver her drama based, ‘Life and Social Skills’ workshop programmes for the Corporate sector. Her workshops are a unique, fun and practical, method of training that transfers valuable, in depth knowledge and understanding of the human condition to people in every-day business.
The workshops help people understand how to cultivate their own innate capabilities to master the art of being calm, centred and confident to be more effective in personal and professional life, sustainable skills that increase opportunity in life – and therefore give a competitive edge.
The workshops combine time honoured principles of theatre craft with modern innovative improvisation and role play that uses real life scenarios in a safe and nurturing environment.
