Simplified advice
Some startling figures emerge from the ABI's recent RDR Conference and the report that followed it. For example, it seems that full advice on your financial circumstances costs a lot more than most people can afford. One of the lessons, I think, of the financial crisis is just how important what goes on in our industry is for everyone (not just for those of us working within it). And given the importance of understanding financial services at the personal and family level, the ABI's proposals to make simplified advice more widely available are to be welcomed."
