Scotland's Fintech Fortnight

Scotland’s first festival of fintech conferences, events and meet ups will be held over two weeks in September.

It will celebrate how financial innovation, collaboration and inclusion across the nation are creating a thriving fintech economy in Scotland and a global fintech centre.

FinTech Scotland, in association with VisitScotland Business Events, have created Fintech Fortnight with over  20 events set to be held in Edinburgh, Glasgow and Stirling featuring local and international fintech firms.

SFE members are also hosting events with Royal Bank of Scotland bringing together a panel of fintech entrepreneurs and financial services professionals to discuss the challenges and opportunities in a climate where there is an ever-growing focus on fintech and its potentially disruptive technology on financial services. The event will be held on Monday 24 September.

Law firm Pinsent Masons is hosting a Fintech Meetup on Wednesday 26 September, which will focus on ‘going global’ and the challenges and opportunities of putting a fintech company on the world stage. Fintech firms will also have an opportunity to give a five-minute pitch on what’s happening with their business

Deloitte will host a session providing a summary of FinTech Scotland’s work-to-date and future plans as well as some great examples of stories from across the global fintech network on Thursday 27 September.

Events with an international flavour include Connecting Scottish and African Fintechs at Heriot-Watt University, FinTech and the Global Opportunities at the ID.Co and Scottish/Irish Fintech Opportunities for Collaboration.
