Scottish Knowledge Exchange Awards

On Thursday 25th February 2016 Interface will host the first ever Scottish Knowledge Exchange Awards which will recognise, reward and celebrate the achievements that are being made through business and academic collaborations in Scotland. This is a key event to showcase business – academia collaboration for the 2016 Year of Innovation Architecture and Design and in line with Scotland Can Do and the Innovation Scotland Forum. The event will feature a range of compelling headline speakers including Mr. John Swinney MSP, Dr Steve Otto and John Sturrock QC and engaging workshops hosted by some of Scotland’s most innovative businesses who will tell their stories of the impacts they have achieved from collaborating with Scottish HEIs. The event will culminate in the presentation of the Scottish Knowledge Exchange Awards from the significant number of applications from businesses, universities and research institutions from across Scotland.

The interactive workshops will outline how the collaborative partnerships can benefit both [universities and business], to deliver impact through knowledge exchange. We are hoping that these will stimulate further demand from businesses to collaborate with academic groups and inspire them on the range and breath of support that is available. In addition Mr. John Swinney will launch the online platform to showcase facilities available for commercial use within institutions which coupled with technical expertise will allow more businesses to engage.

We would very much like you to tell your colleagues, business contacts and networks to register nowIn particular we would encourage you to invite your networks of companies and alumni to attend.
