SFE’s new Chief Executive Graeme Jones took up his post at the beginning of January.  You can learn more about Graeme at SFE Board. Congratulations once again to our 2015 winners RBS, for their partnership with Entrepreneurial Spark to support entrepreneurs throughout the UK and for the successful opening of the new hatchery at their HQ.

University of Edinburgh Business School has announced a packed programme of free entrepreneurial events for businesses and students, to celebrate the 10th anniversary of its start-up network the E Club.

On 2nd March, the School will play host to a day-long festival, including talks from Brewdog ‘Captain’ James Watt and Gav Dutch, founder of Edinburgh tech-success Kotikan. For tickets and programme information, visit:

Scottish Apprenticeship Week 2016:   29 February – 4 March

7th Annual Scottish Capital Investment and Infrastructure Conference

SFE Policy Groups & Forums Round-up

HR Forum – The dates for the HR Forum in 2016 will be circulated shortly. Any SFE members who wish to join the HR forum should contact Dan Jones djones@sfe.org.uk

PA Forum – next meeting will be held on Tuesday 1 March at SFE.  Any members wishing to join the Public Affairs Forum should contact Elaine Ravenscroft eravenscroft@sfe.org.uk

Sector Policy Groups – our SPGs, each of which meets about 4 times a year, bring members together from the different sectors of our industry to discuss current issues. We have SPGs for asset servicing, asset management, professional services, pensions/insurance and private client investment management. Each group has a co-ordinator kindly seconded to SFE by one of our professional services members. If you would like to join any of these groups, please contact May Houston mhouston@sfe.org.uk for further details.
