The Smith Commision on Further Devolution reported in November last year and SFE Chief Executive Owen Kelly was invited to join the consulative group on its implementation. SFE attended a recent UK Government stakeholder event on further devolution and the economy. The presentation from the event and relevant contacts for information can be found here.
The Scottish Rate of Income Tax is expected to be implemented from April 2016 and a stepped-up communications campaign from HMRC for employers and employees will start soon. Rates will be announced by the Scottish Government in the November Draft Budget.
