Co-Communications Lead - Vacancy

The Comms Lead role is key to enabling the SFE Young Professionals Steering Committee to communicate effectively with its members by delivering regular compelling and relevant comms.

Responsibilities:

  • Delivery of a communication strategy and plan that both encourages new membership but also updates on the network’s strategies, events and news
  • Author SFE YP Newsletters and co-ordinate committee member written blogs
  • Consider the network’s social media strategy
  • The comms lead role is share by two committee members

Requirements:

  • Enthusiasm and energy; passion for SFE Young Professional’s aims and objectives
  • Capacity to commit to quarterly meetings and assisting in one to two events per year
  • Proactive, engaged and eager to build network outside their own organisation
  • Preferred: Familiarity with Social Media platforms, i.e. LinkedIn, Instagram, etc
  • Preferred: Previous communications experience

Deputy Chairperson Edinburgh - Vacancy

The Deputy Chairperson role is key to enabling the SFE Young Professionals Steering Committee to operate effectively by providing support to the Chairperson, acting as a liaison between Committee members and supporting engagement of our members.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist and support the Chairperson in providing leadership to the Group
  • In the Chairperson’s absence, to chair SFE Young Professionals Steering Group meetings and represent the network to Senior stakeholders and forums
  • Co-ordinate SFE Young Professionals ambassadors and their work with partner groups to deliver impactful and engaging events and opportunities to the network
  • Take the lead in the virtual events calendar supporting committee members with their delivery ambitions.
