Three Directors being sought for the Scottish Financial Enterprise Board
The Scottish Financial Enterprise (SFE) Board is looking to appoint three new Board Directors and welcomes applications from all SFE member firms.
This is an opportunity to join a proactive Board of Directors and make a real difference to the future of Scotland’s financial services industry.
The Board is looking to recruit three people with the skills, experience and capacity to help deliver and oversee the effective implementation of Scotland’s Financial Services Strategy 2021-25.

About the role
Elected from the membership, our Directors possess diverse, yet highly relevant experience to help drive forward Scotland’s Financial Services Strategy 2021-25.
An ideal candidate would possess experience and knowledge in one or more of the following key areas of strategic focus:
- Economic recovery
- Skills and inclusion
- Understanding of customer needs and experience
- Digital technology experience
- Legal and professional services background
- UK and international partnerships
SFE Board Directors are expected to attend six board meetings per year, contribute and support the Chief Executive and SFE team by effectively delivering Scotland’s Financial Services Strategy and attending relevant SFE events.
Being a Board Director requires a high level of dedication and commitment to responsibilities that extends beyond attending board meetings regularly.
The roles are unpaid voluntary positions. Reasonable expenses are paid.
Successful candidates would be appointed for three years with an option of extending for a further three-year term.
