CITI MAN APPOINTED TO SFE BOARD
Scottish Financial Enterprise (SFE) has today announced the appointment of Colin Stewart, a Managing Director of Citi in Scotland, to its Board.
This is the first time that Citi has been represented on the board of SFE and the appointment reflects the company’s commitment to Scotland and the success of their Scottish operations.
Announcing the appointment John Campbell, SFE Chairman, said:
“Colin brings with him a wealth of experience, a profound understanding of Scotland and, professionally, a truly global perspective. Citi operate across the world and I am delighted that their Managing Director in Scotland will now be making a personal contribution to the work of SFE.
“Asset Servicing is one of the fastest growing sectors of the financial services industry in Scotland and Colin’s appointment gives it a stronger presence on the SFE board.”
Colin Stewart said:
“SFE plays a very important role in bringing together the many different parts of Scotland’s financial services industry. I strongly believe that by working together we are stronger when it comes to promoting the Scottish industry and making it even more internationally competitive. I am looking forward to working with my fellow Board members to achieve that.”
SFE is the independent organisation that supports and represents the interests of Scotland’s financial services industry.
Colin Stewart has full responsibility for Citi’s Markets and Banking activity in Scotland which is continuing to expand with 400 employees now based in Edinburgh. Citi is the largest financial institution in the world with 300,000 staff in 104 countries and a market capitalisation of $150 billion.
