Business Briefing with Lord Wallace of Tankerness

The Scotland Bill will see the Scottish Parliament gain important new financial powers, including the power for it to determine and apply a Scottish income tax. This will make Scottish Politicians accountable for not just how money is spent, but also in part for how that money is raised.

Lord Wallace will be responsible for taking the Scotland Bill through the House of Lords, but was also a member of the Calman Commission whose recommendations the Bill implements, so is uniquely well placed to describe the Calman Commission's original thinking. He will set out what the Bill will mean to SFE's members as employers, taxpayers, pension providers and voters in Scottish Parliamentary Elections.
