SFE, in partnership with The China British Business Council and Scottish Development International is holding a members' breakfast briefing with Stuart Leckie on investing in China.
Stuart Hamilton Leckie, O.B.E., runs a consulting firm, Stirling Finance Ltd. He qualified as an actuary in the UK in 1972 and has been involved with pensions and investments since moving to Hong Kong in 1979. He headed Watson Wyatt in Asia-Pacific until 1995 and then was Chairman of Fidelity Investments, Asia-Pacific until 1997, and Stuart was the Chairman of the Hong Kong Retirement Schemes Association and has been the President of the Actuarial Society of Hong Kong (1981 and 1999).He advised the Hong Kong Government on the establishment of the Mandatory Provident Fund. He also serves on various committees in Hong Kong's Securities and Futures Commission and was a Director of Exchange Fund Investment Limited which launched the very successful Tracker Fund. He has written books on "Pension Funds in China" and "Investment Funds in China".
