The FSA's Retail Distribution Review (RDR) is designed to remedy the recurrent problems with the distribution of retail investment products. The proposals are now finalised and new draft rules are due in June. This seminar will provide practical tips on how to prepare and adapt to the new distribution landscape. Pinsent Masons will also provide details about their own RDR survey conducted across the financial services industry.

For in house lawyers and compliance teams the RDR will mean redocumenting distribution relationships, approving significant changes to product materials and negotiating new contracts for new IT systems. The RDR proposals may even be extended to the protection, general insurance and mortgage markets.

Benefits of attending:

  • Learn about the aims of RDR proposals.
  • Understand the consequences of differentiating independent advice from "sales services .
  • Understand the new remuneration and professional standards.
  • Hear about the Pinsent Masons' survey of 130 businesses on the RDR.
  • Assess the winners and losers.
