SFE invite you to a lunchtime briefing with Gerry Grimstone, India Champion for the UK's financial services industry, on 4 June 2009 at the Balmoral Hotel, 1 Princes Street, Edinburgh.
Gerry Grimstone is Chairman of Standard Life, one of the UK's largest pensions, savings, and asset management companies, and also of Candover Investments, a major European private equity company.
He was previously a senior investment banker at Schroders and ran businesses in London, New York and Hong Kong. He specialised in mergers & acquisitions and capital-raising for major companies worldwide. Prior to that, he was a civil servant in HM Treasury where he was responsible for privatisation and nationalised industries policy. He sits on the boards of Standard Life's joint ventures in India and China.
Gerry will talk about his business experience in India, the outlook for business in India now and his role as the UK financial services industry's India Champion.
