This event marks International Women’s Day by exploring the evolution of women’s roles, influence, and opportunities within Scotland’s financial services sector over the past four decades.
Anchored in the 2026 IWD theme Give to Gain, the session will highlight how progress has been driven by individuals and organisations choosing to invest in others — through mentorship, advocacy, sponsorship, and cultural change.
This year’s theme, Give to Gain, reminds us that progress isn’t a finite resource — it grows when we invest in one another.
As we look back on forty years of women’s progress in Scotland’s financial services sector, we can see how much of that progress was built on generosity: people giving their time, their advocacy, their mentorship, and often their courage.
We will explore how far we’ve come, what we’ve learned, and what we must now give — as individuals and as an industry — to ensure the next forty years deliver even greater gains.
We will partner with We-Work and encourage those attending to give clothing to the charity to support women getting into the workplace.
